Meet Chane Nelson: Your Warm and Welcoming Guide in Donor Support

Meet Chane Nelson: Your Warm and Welcoming Guide in Donor Support:

If we've ever connected—whether by email, phone, or in person—you've likely noticed one thing about me: I genuinely care. My goal is always to make you feel at ease, build a real connection, and bring a little warmth and positivity to your day.

I grew up in a small Northern Cape town where community and connection were simply a way of life. Before joining Global Egg Donors, I spent eight years in the beauty industry, helping people feel confident and cared for. But three years ago, my career took a more heartfelt turn. My best friend, who was a donor and is also working at Global Egg Donors, shared countless beautiful stories about the bonds she witnessed between donors and intended parents. The more I heard, the more I knew I had to be a part of this incredible work.

A Glimpse into My Day

No two days are ever the same in my role! Some days I'm happily working at my computer, while others find me traveling, or juggling a dozen different tasks. I have the pleasure of being the first person to welcome our donors, guiding them through the application process and ensuring they feel supported before I hand them over to Karen, our lead donor coordinator, for the donation itself.

I even had the privilege of working directly with intended parents for a while, which was an incredibly rewarding experience. Meeting people from all over the world and being part of their unique journeys is something I truly cherish.

Unforgettable Connections

One story that will always stay with me happened a few years ago. One of our donors reconnected with her intended parents, and their bond grew so strong that they now go on vacations together—they're truly like a blended family. Witnessing that kind of lasting connection profoundly reminds me of the deep meaning behind this work.

Supporting You, Heartfelt Every Step of the Way

For me, donor support is so much more than just answering emails; it's about being authentically human. I bring my whole self to work, I listen intently, and I ensure every donor feels supported throughout their entire journey.

If you're considering becoming a donor, my advice is simple: keep your heart and mind open. This is an extraordinary process to be part of, and it has the power to change lives—including your own.

Why I Love Being Part of Global Egg Donors

We're not just an agency; we become a part of every journey. From the very first "hello" to coordinating travel arrangements and the donation itself, we are there 100% of the way. Our genuine care truly makes all the difference.

Life Beyond the Office

When I'm not working, you'll rarely find me sitting still! I love hiking, overnight mountain trips, yoga, meditation, running, netball, and dodgeball—you name it. And, of course, spending quality time with my friends and family is paramount.

Since I spend a good deal of time behind my computer, it's a priority for me to get outdoors, breathe fresh air, and live life to the fullest. This balance keeps me happy, energized, and ready to give my best to everyone I work with.

One Word: Family

If I had to sum up my experience at Global Egg Donors in one word, it would be family. I'm incredibly fortunate to work alongside an amazing group of women who are strong, inspirational, and determined. I'm grateful every single day to be part of this team.
